Is it the pain or is it just the reality?

Living life with HEDS. Some days I will say my shoulder hurts so bad I can't sleep. My husband will say, I thought it was your back that was hurting. I reply, "honey my shoulder hurts so bad I forgot my back was even hurting." How do you explain that to someone who doesn't have a disease that affects every joint in your body? Usually with a little humor, knowing that I must sound bizarre at times with all my crazy ailments!
